Vintage Wide Brim Straw Hat With Feather, Picture Hat, 1960s 。Greenish black fine straw curved hat covered in iridescent schlappen feathers that are black,green and turquoise all at once and depending on the turn of the head. This is truly a magnificent hat from the Jax Hatz company in San Francisco. It is permanently shuttered so this is most likely a one of a kind. It has never been worn and still has the tag attached. It says size medium. It has been stored in a beautiful heavy cardboard hatbox and that means it needs to sit out for the feathers to relax a bit.This would be great statement piece for a grand wedding or even a costume piece for a period movie. It is just stunning in person. My hope is that someone will love it and pass it down through generations.
