Allbirds Trail Runner SWT | 2021 New Trail Running Shoes。The shoes in the image are the Allbirds Trail Runner SWT, specifically in the Grey/Buoyant Orange colorway. The \"SWT\" in the name stands for Sugar, Wool, and Tree, which are the three primary sustainable materials used to construct the shoe. This model was designed to bridge the gap between a comfortable lifestyle sneaker and a functional off-road trail shoe. Key Features & Design • Upper: A blend of TENCEL™ Lyocell (eucalyptus tree fiber) and ZQ Merino wool. The grey section near the laces is a durable ripstop fabric made from wool and recycled polyester to protect against tears on the trail. • Midsole: Features Allbirds\' signature SweetFoam®, which is made from sugarcane-based green EVA. It’s designed to be bouncy yet stable enough for uneven terrain. • Outsole: Made from FSC-certified natural rubber with unique 4mm multi-directional lugs designed to provide grip on dirt, mud, and rocks. • Sock-like Fit: The collar is elasticized to create a snug fit around the ankle, which helps prevent dirt and debris from getting inside the shoe. Performance & Care • Best For: Light hiking, trail running, and walking. They are known for being very comfortable \"out of the box\" but are heavier and bulkier than standard road running shoes. Sustainability Impact The Trail Runner SWT is marketed with a lower carbon footprint than traditional synthetic sneakers. The laces are made from recycled plastic bottles, and the insoles use castor bean oil-based foam.
