Antique Art Deco Celluloid Hair Ornament / Comb 5 1/2 x 7” with 1 1/2” curve No Chips No cracks No discoloration This gorgeous Art Deco hair ornament is made in a red brown celluloid unless held up to the light. These combs were extremely fashionable in Britain and America during the early 20th century. They were worn in a characteristic manner, being placed in the side or back of the hairdressing at an acute angle…in such a way that the tall heading stood up displaying the beautiful openwork decoration or the decorative effect which had been applied to the material, to be viewed from all angles, and for the details to be seen effectively outlined against the light. This the perfect vintage / antique accessory. Evening Wear Wedding Prom
